K-Patents is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to work as a trusted advisor in after-sales for our global customer base in K-Patents Oy’s headquarters in Aviapolis area, Vantaa, Finland.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will help our customers with various technical questions related to our products, give customer support, as well as diagnose and analyze issues/problems over the phone, via email, and on-site in Finland and abroad. At our customers’ plants, you will take care of start-up activities and end-user training for our products. In addition, your job will include testing the products and applications.
You will also have a key role in developing technical expertise and advancing it into professional support services for our customers. Furthermore, you will participate in technical documentation creation, as well as providing training and presentations when needed.
The successful candidate has a BSc. or MSc. in Technology in the field of automation, electrical, pulp and paper processing, chemical engineering or process technology, with a few years of work experience on any of the fields. However, recently graduated or candidates near graduation can be considered for this position. As you will actively cooperate with our company’s various departments, subsidiaries and international sales representatives, strong people skills and ability to work with different personalities, sometimes under pressure with a tight deadline are a must. You are fluent in written and oral English and in Finnish, while other languages would be of benefit in this international job. Good presentation skills and/or willingness to learn are an advantage.
You are prepared to engage in extensive travel around the world. Most trips will last from one to two weeks.

We are looking for an experienced technical sales person to join K-Patents’ Sales and Marketing team in Vantaa as an Area Sales Manager.
As an Area Sales Manager, you will supervise assigned sales territory, and maintain and develop the established sales representative network, as well as marketing and sales activities to process industry primarily in Asia. You will offer sales support and training services to customers, and present technical and sales presentations to demonstrate how plant operations can be improved with the K-Patents technology.
In addition, you will serve the technical, product and application needs of our representatives and customers in the pulp and paper, chemical, sugar and food industries. As you progress in your career, you will also take responsibility for development of our process industry business segments, as well as search for new customers and applications, and maximize the customer potential.
MSc. in an Engineering discipline, preferably in Chemical Engineering. Basic understanding of process instrumentation and process industries, and at least 3-5 years of successful history in industrial and technical sales work. Good command of spoken and written English and Finnish, excellent communication and presentation skills, excellent interpersonal skills. Willing to travel up to 100 days per year.
